I first met Amanda and Jon over coffee and we ended up spending over an hour together chatting and laughing. I left that first meeting with them absolutely in love with them as a couple. Then I took their engagement photos and got to see just how in love, and super silly, and genuinely happy they are. And last month they threw one fantastic fall wedding to tie the knot! It poured all day on their wedding day, like it rained dogs and cats all day, not just a drop or two, but you would never know it. Mother Nature had nothing on these two – and then the skies cleared for 20 minutes and we got some great shots with some pretty fall foliage. Perfect. To top it all off, Amanda is maybe the craftiest bride I have ever met – she created their invitation suite, their candles for the reception, the shawls and jewelry her bridesmaids wore, the guys’ boutineers, the leaf escort cards and display, and about 100 other things! Amazing the way she had a vision for the wedding and carried it out personally! Congratulations Amanda & Jon!

They also had some fabulous vendors who helped make their day festive:  First up – thank you to my rock solid second shooter Nikki Nicole / Venue: Heritage Hotel Southbury / Hair: Sabit V Salon / Bridal Gown: Violet by Maggie Sottero / Bridal Shop: Helen’s Bridal / Bridesmaid dresses: Jasmine B2 / bridesmaid dress shop: Bridal Suite of Bay Shore / Invitations: designed by the bride! / wedding pies: Lyman Orchards / Band: So What? / Bridal Bouquet: Stop and Shop
