Laura and Johan met in college and their shared love of sport brought them together. The story of how they met and fell in love is super sweet. Laura tells it best so here is her rendition of it: “I played softball and Johan played baseball at Eastern Nazarene College. Both teams went to Florida for a spring training trip and stayed in the same hotel. Johan saw me in the hallway and started asking me how my games went so I told him about my hits that day and he said, “OK then, hit me a home run tomorrow.” The next day, some of the baseball players came to the softball game to support and I hit a home run, so I gave the ball to Johan with a little note on it that said something cute that now I forget… Anyways, he got my number after that and any time he hit a home run or I hit a home run that season we would give the other person the ball with some sort of message on it.” What this also tells you is that they are both pretty awesome players (If Scott had to wait for me to hit a home run for us to get together, it never would have happened!).
These two are fun-loving, a little goofy, always smiling and cracking jokes together. They make each other laugh constantly and the day was full of joy and laughter because their positivity and love is infectious. They wanted to have a laid back and fun day with the people they loved and the beautiful tent, along with great music, lawn games, great food, and a bonfire with s’mores at the end of the evening definitely delivered on the fun! Congratulations you two! XO
