Last year, as I planned for 2018, I reflected on why I’m in the wedding photography business and considered what legacy I want to leave behind. First and foremost, I want to capture soulmates’ love stories. The bond between two people who fight for each other more than with each other and who choose spending time together over spending time apart. Telling the love stories of kind and generous couples is the first piece of the legacy I hope to leave behind.
It was also on my heart to find a way to make a bigger impact, leaving a legacy that reaches beyond the families and couples I work with directly. So I decided to make each wedding I booked an opportunity to give back to the community. I pledged to donate 5% of each 2018 wedding commission to one of two wonderful local non-profit organizations. Each of my couples got to choose which of the two organizations they’d like their wedding to benefit and as luck would have it, half of them picked one and half picked the other, which makes me so happy! Both the MSPCA and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston are near and dear to my heart and you can read on to find out more about the impact these organizations make and why they’re so important to me. And you’ll see the donations Lynne Reznick Photography was able to make because of my amazingly kind and caring couples.
MSPCA Donation
I’m an animal lover through and through. My 8 years as a pescetarian are largely a decision driven by the inhumane treatment of animals due to industrial farming practices in this country. And I’m a pet owner. I grew up with a dog at home and am currently mom to two sweet cats who think they’re lap dogs. Cena is the gray one and Jazz is the little black one. Jazz was the runt of the litter, so naturally I had to have her. And for 12.5 years I was mom to Milo—the best pug on the planet. We had to say goodbye to him on Jan 2nd of 2017 and he spent NYE that year being cared for by the MSPCA in Boston. They took such great care of him and were so helpful and kind to Scott and me as we dealt with some truly horrible news over New Years. They even have visitor hours for people to see their pets staying overnight for care and we visited him NYE evening. He was loved on so much by the whole team there and we’ll be forever grateful for the way they treated him and us. Beyond my personal experience, the MSPCA cares for and facilitates the adoption of thousands of animals every year and they advocate for the humane treatment of animals everywhere.
I’m honored to be able to support this organization through my wedding photography business. Six LRP couples chose the MSPCA as their charity this year and because of my amazing, animal loving couples, Lynne Reznick Photography was able to join the Leader’s Circle with a donation of $1260.
Thank you Amethyst & Zev, Ali & Justin, Joanne & Scott, Kirsten & Alex, Rebecca & Ross, and Tori & Justin for letting me not only tell your love stories, but for supporting a cause we all believe in so deeply! XO

Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston Donation
What many people don’t know about me at first glance these days is that I wasn’t always a photographer. In fact, I taught high school history for ten years in Hartford Public Schools before moving to Boston. Even after we moved, although I left the classroom, I stayed directly connected to education, supporting teachers at two local middle schools as an instructional coach with the Boston Debate League. Before I left to go full time with photography, I had transitioned to the after-school-debate side of the organization. All of this is to say that my passion for education runs deep. And that I’ve seen first hand how the supports, mentorship, and opportunities provided by after-school community programs like the Boys and Girls Club can positively impact youth. And the BGCB offer a plethora of programs and activities serving 14,000 students throughout the city of Boston each year. Quick note: because of legal & safety concerns with sharing photos of minors, I‘m not sharing photos of my own students, but the thank you page from BGCB is pretty adorable – so I’m sharing that.
I’m honored to be able to support this organization through my wedding photography business. Six LRP couples chose the the BGCB as their charity this year and because of my amazing couples, Lynne Reznick Photography was able to make a donation of $1156.
Thank you Anne & Asher, Lilah & Kyle, Liz & Nick, Michelle & Nick, Sarah & Mike, and Tina & Myles for letting me not only tell your love stories, but for supporting a cause we all believe in so deeply! XO
