Charlotte & Ean met up with me for their Saratoga Springs Engagement session here in New York. I absolutely loved shooting with them and getting to know them!
Charlotte is the best friend of one my previous brides, Margaret. We met when she was acting as Margaret’s Maid of Honor at her June 2020 micro-wedding. Ean actually grew up in Plattsburgh, NY – where I currently live. He gave me some great tips on local restaurants and things to do in the area when I moved back in 2020. I always appreciate a local connection!
Their engagement photo shoot was sunny & sweet, and I loved every minute.
These two lovebirds met in Junior year of college at St. Lawrence University in upstate NY. They started dating at the beginning of Senior year after forming a solid foundation as friends.
Ean chose to surprise Charlotte with a proposal at Canaras, which is a camp-style property near Saranac Lake owned by their alma mater. As they walked the grounds and came to the lake, Ean popped the question and accomplished his goal of completely surprising Charlotte. She obviously said YES, and they are planning a beautiful wedding together.
We chose a Saratoga Springs Fall engagement session because of their many ties to the Adirondacks and upstate NY. The Saratoga Spa State Park is a beautiful mix of curated grounds and a nature preserve. The afternoon light was absolutely stunning filtering through the trees. There’s also the Hall of Springs there, a beautiful building adorned with columns, sculptures, and a relief inspired by the 1559 Italian Villa Emo.
Charlotte & Ean, I loved shooting your Saratoga Springs engagement session.
Wandering the grounds with you, soaking up that amazing golden hour, and documenting your love is what makes me love being a New York engagement photographer.
You two are so much fun and I am so looking forward to your wedding in Greenwich, CT this summer!
