This beautiful Dennis Inn wedding in Cape Cod was iconic. Hannah and Todd are the SWEETEST couple, and it was such an honor to document their day. Not to mention they know how to throw a dance party! Make sure you scroll to the bottom to see their fun party!

Bride & Groom’s Love Story

Hannah and Todd met in Charlottesville, VA where they were both working at Farmington Country Club. Hannah was the Assistant Manager and Todd was the Assistant Golf Pro. Hannah says it was love at first sight for her and that it took Todd a little longer, but she always knew he was the one!

Todd proposed one morning on a walk they took after breakfast together. Hannah was totally surprised and delighted – and loved that Todd had even called her Dad to ask his permission the night before. She is super close to her family and this was a special moment for Todd and her Dad.

While these two originally planned their celebration for 2020, they had to postpone due to COVID. And the incredible day they had in October of 2021 at Dennis Inn was absolutely worth the wait!

Getting Ready

These two love Cape Cod and chose the Dennis Inn for their celebration – a perfect mixture of the colonial inn with shaker shingles classic to the Cape and a stunning tented dinner reception.

It was also perfect because it meant that Hannah and her bridesmaids could stay at the Inn the night before and get ready there that day, while Todd and his groomsmen were at an Airbnb down the road.

Hannah got her girls lovely pale blue robes and got ready with the help of her mom. They have a close relationship, and witnessing the two of them together as her Mom helped into her dress and veil was so sweet. Then she did a reveal with her Dad before seeing Todd for their first look.

First Look & Couples Portraits at Dennis Inn

Todd and Hannah were over the moon excited to see each other, and I love the pure joy that shows in their faces for their first look together. You can see how giddy they are, and it was so much fun to capture the two of them.

After portraits together they welcomed their wedding party in for photos before the ceremony. The Inn was the perfect backdrop, and perfectly complimented their color palette.

The Dennis Inn Ceremony

Their ceremony was so special because they involved their family throughout. Hannah’s uncle officiated and her Aunt did a reading. Todd’s nephew was ring bearer. And these two had the most gorgeous outdoor Cape Cod ceremony. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. Their absolute joy at becoming Mr. & Mrs. was inspiring and touching.

The Reception

After their meaningful ceremony, they had a fun reception! The wedding party was greeted with miniature signature drinks and guests played lawn games and enjoyed a gorgeous evening outside.

The details of their reception were so thoughtful, I couldn’t blog this day and NOT talk about them!

Hannah and Todd chose blue patterned linens, which made a beautiful statement during cocktail hour and at their guest book station. They used a vintage glass door with hand lettering for a seating chart. And the pale blush, peach, pale yellow, and cream flowers were stunning!

Guest favors were a wedding branded tin of Belmont Peanuts Cajun Crunch – a favorite snack of theirs from VA. In addition to an Instax polaroid guest book, they had guests write messages on an oversized set of Jenga pieces.

They also had a watercolor crest with their monogram on their invitations, as well as a custom drawing of the Dennis Inn. It was a stunning suite that set the tone for their beautiful soirée. And last but not least – they had custom artwork with their sweet pup Sawyer on their cocktail napkins! I really loved all the custom artwork in their day.

The reception was a ton of fun! They hosted the special dances and speeches in the tent, before going into the Inn for the dancing portion of the night. And wow could everyone dance! I love seeing when guests join in to celebrate the happy couple, and this was no exception!

Hannah and Todd ended their evening with a sendoff with streamers. I loved capturing this beautiful wedding, and felt so honored to be a part of their special day!
