Liz and Danny’s Cape Cod Wedding at Wychmere Beach Club was stunning. They’re both actually from Chicago but Liz grew up summering on the Cape, which made the decision to have a Cape Cod wedding super easy. Cape Cod is such a special spot for Liz and Danny, and their wedding day reflected so much of what they love about the Cape and who they are as a couple!

With hydrangea, coastal hues of soft blue and white, mini lobster roll appetizers, and a mobile raw bar during cocktail hour, they really made thoughtful choices for their day to reflect a quintessential Cape Cod wedding vibe. You also can’t have a coastal wedding without taking advantage of the beach! Not only did they kick off their shoes and frolic in the sand for their bride and groom portraits, but they also held their ceremony on the beach, where they shared their vows in front of family and friends.

GETTING READY FOR CAPE CODE WEDDING

The morning of the wedding, Liz and her girls hung out, chatted and got pampered by their hair and makeup team. Anticipating the day ahead, her bridesmaids made the best hype team for the bride! Towards the end of the morning, her mom helped Liz into her dress, letting dad be the first to see her all dressed and ready in a special reveal moment.

Danny had the help of his brothers and nephew while getting ready. The groomsmen all got to have a relaxed morning, hanging outdoors and enjoying a drink together before heading to the first look.

FIRST LOOK AT THE OVERLOOK

Liz and Danny didn’t want to miss too much of cocktail hour with their friends and family, so they opted for an intimate first look before the ceremony to get the most out of their wedding day. The Overlook is a beautiful grass area, overlooking a picturesque harbor in Harwich Port right around the corner from Wychmere Beach Club. We knew this was the perfect spot on Cape Cod to do their first look.

Shortly after, we headed over to the beach at the venue for more portraits. The dunes and sunshine made for stunning images. And Liz is super laid back and so fun; she kicked shoes off at the start of portraits and loved having her bare feet in the sand. The she jumped to get sand out of her dress as her bridemaids helped her and laughed together. It was the absolute best!

CAPE COD WEDDING CEREMONY

Their wedding had so many small, meaningful touches, like a bagpiper playing for guests as they exited the ceremony – a nod to Danny’s Irish heritage. Liz’s dad had the honor of walking his little girl down the aisle to her future husband – it was a sweet and memorable moment for them both.

Liz and Danny shared their vows on the beach in front of everyone they cared and cherished. It was such a special moment.

WYCHMERE BEACH CLUB RECEPTION | CAPE COD WEDDING

Now to party! From the first dance, to the cake cutting, and toasts, their reception was so much fun! The coastal decor glowed in the candlelight as the sun set and the band kept the dance floor packed. Liz had a surprise up her sleeve; she changed halfway through reception into a fashion-forward beaded jumpsuit. She sparkled and hit the dance floor with Danny the entire night!
