Gwen and Hanchao celebrated their love with a picturesque Boston Public Garden anniversary session. Couples often focus on documenting their relationship through engagement and their wedding. An anniversary session is a great way to continue to capture the love you share and the way your relationship changes and grows as you are together.

For this session, we met just after sunrise. It allowed us to take advantage of the quiet morning hours and the garden’s most iconic spots. This is one of the benefits of a 5:30am start time! From the graceful weeping willows, to the charming bridge, and the majestic swan boats in the background, the golden light of dawn covered every moment.

We finished our morning in the garden in my favorite corner of the park. Against the backdrop of cascading water and wrought iron fences, Gwen and Hanchao snuggled together, their love shining through in every frame.

Boston Anniversary Session Part Two: MIT Dome Building

Then, they changed outfits, and we ventured across the river to Cambridge for photos at the Dome Building at MIT. This is another iconic Boston location. The stunning architecture and gorgeous columns provide the perfect neutral and elegant backdrop. Gwen’s dress really popped against the neutral colors of the building, and the images we captured were beautiful and elegant.

I captured this Boston Public Garden anniversary session almost solely on film. The way the film captures the moment and the warm, buttery morning light just can’t be beat. This session is a memory Gwen and Hanchao will treasure for a lifetime. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of love and the importance of cherishing every moment together. We captured timeless images that beautifully encapsulate Gwen and Hanchao’s evolving love story. And it was prefect to have a couple of Boston’s most iconic locations serve as backdrops.
