Jack and Amelia’s Cape Cod celebration at Oyster Harbors Club was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, coastal charm, and joyful celebration. From an intimate al fresco rehearsal dinner at the Wianno Club to a vibrant tented reception just steps from the ocean, every detail honored their love for this special place. Their love was so sincere and familiar, it was an honor to be their New England wedding photographer.
Rehearsal Dinner
One of my favorite parts of any wedding weekend is when I get to join couples for their rehearsal dinner and welcome party. It’s a chance to settle in and let the excitement build alongside your closest loved ones. For Jack and Amelia, this evening was truly special. They served an al fresco dinner on the terrace for their wedding party and immediate family, and spent time mingling with their loved ones. The breeze off the Cape was the perfect backdrop to the heartfelt toasts from Jack’s dad and sisters. And then from so many dear friends who wanted to share their love and stories. Having space for toasts the day before your wedding is a great way to hear from your people, without taking up all the reception hours.
It’s always an honor to be invited to the welcome party or rehearsal dinner because it’s such a wonderful way to preserve those sweet moments of anticipation and joy.

Getting Ready at Oyster Harbors Club
The morning of their wedding day felt exactly as the couple hoped it would: carefree, joyful, and deeply connected to family. Amelia and her sisters started the day by walking down to the same beach where Jack had proposed and dipping into the ocean together, a little ritual to mark the start of this new chapter. Back at her parents’ home in Cotuit, Amelia got ready with her mom and sisters by her side. Her bridesmaids each wore floral green and blue dresses that reflected their own style.
The big hug at the bottom of the stairs once Amelia was ready for her first look was emblematic of the deep love this friends group holds for each other. They were so happy, fun, and full of positive energy all day long.
Meanwhile, Jack and his groomsmen were equally dapper in navy suits and pale green ties, a subtle nod to the iconic coastal vibe the day was oriented around.
Amelia & Jack’s wedding date held special significance, as they chose specifically to coincide with the bride’s parents’ wedding anniversary, who got married in the next town over. Amelia surprised her parents with embroidered pieces made from her mom’s wedding dress and stitched with both of their wedding dates, 39 years apart to the day.

First Look & Portraits
Before the ceremony began, Jack and Amelia carved out a quiet moment for just the two of them. Their private first look at the Oyster Harbors Club gave them space to really see each other; to take a breath together and share private vows away from the bustle of the day. It was emotional and grounding, a beautiful pause before all the celebration began.
We also took time during this portion of the day to capture bride and groom portraits. The lighting was perfect, and the views were showing off! These two were so full of joy & love & excitement for their ceremony, which was just around the corner.
The last thing we did before parting ways was the wedding party portraits. The mismatched bridesmaids dresses were anchored by the men’s blue suits, and the whole aesthetic was gorgeous.

Ceremony at Oyster Harbors Club
With the sun filtering through the trees, and glimpses of the water beyond the lawn… it was time for the main event. Jack and Amelia’s ceremony felt timeless and full of intention. Amelia walked down the aisle with her dad, a moment that had Jack wiping away tears as he watched her come closer. The ceremony was officiated by a loved one and witnessed by friends and family who were fully swept up in the moment. The florals were stunning against the green lawn and coastal backdrop. And there was a moment when Jack and Amelia nailed the dip and kiss on their exit… it felt like pure Cape Cod magic.

Reception
The cocktail hour’s raw bar of local Cotuit oysters was perfect. Paired with a signature spicy margaritas and Cape Cod Aperol spritzes! Every detail of their reception celebrated their love for this place they call home. Guests strolled from the lawn to the tented reception on paths lined with coastal decor. A true welcome into a space that felt like a beautiful extension of Amelia’s family home.
The tent blended Cape Cod textures and colors with cozy elements throughout, complete with custom lantern chandeliers and thoughtful touches by Mrs. Alice. The dinner and toasts were so meaningful. I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! And the bride’s father did a special shout out to their planner, who shared the anniversary date as well. (It’s one special date!!)
Their first dance drew everyone onto the dance floor right away, setting the tone for a night full of laughter, singing, and nonstop dancing. The band brought high energy and the dance floor never emptied, especially after Amelia slipped into her party dress, ready to keep the celebration going all night long.
Jack and Amelia’s wedding was a true love letter to Cape Cod… full of heart, family, and coastal charm. It was such an honor to capture every moment.
