Tucked just one block off the historic Georgetown square, Wish Well House is a beautiful wedding venue. It’s a blend of history and modern design. Built in the 1920s, this beautiful building has seen many lives. Once upon a time it was a private home, then “The Texas Hotel,” later a law office. All this before owner Katy, thoughtfully redesigned it into the light-filled wedding venue it is today. Every detail carefully curated. From the original hardwood floors to the eclectic mix of textures and patterns that create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
This is a venue with character & charm…
Walking through the grounds, you’ll notice how seamlessly classic architecture meets fresh, playful design. Each space is full of personality. From the wallpapered staircases, custom tile in the guest bathrooms, to the curated lounge furniture. They all add charm while keeping the aesthetic timeless. Horseshoes, (part of the venue’s branding), are mounted above each suite door. A little nod to offer couples a little extra good luck on their wedding day.
You’ll be getting ready in style at Wish Well House too…
Upstairs, two spacious wedding party suites provide the perfect place to prepare for the day ahead. One is filled with calming blues and greens. It even includes a foosball table for fun! While the other glows in burnt oranges and yellows. This one includes four vanity stations, perfect for hair and makeup. Both suites are complete with en suite bathrooms and stocked kitchenettes.
And there is a practical indoor-outdoor flow to the space.
Couples can host their ceremony in the courtyard beneath the bistro lights. Complete with uplighting that transforms the space into a romantic al fresco setting as night falls. The large central doors open wide to create an effortless indoor-outdoor flow. This makes it easy to transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner under the stars. Inside, the main hall accommodates up to 175 guests. Or, couples can expand with an indoor-outdoor setup for as many as 260.
Wish Well House is not only stunning, it’s convenient. Guests will love that a brand-new free parking garage is being built directly across the street. Rehearsal dinners are easy to plan, too, with several excellent restaurants, like City Post, Golden Rule, and Georgie’s, just a short walk away.
This is the perfect venue to create your perfect day.
Whether you’re planning an intimate courtyard dinner or a lively reception with a packed dance floor, Wish Well House offers a beautiful blank canvas with built-in charm. With lounge furniture, long tables, and white dining chairs already included, the venue makes it easy to design a day that feels effortless and elegant.
Wish Well House is a truly special gem in Georgetown. This is a venue that has intentionally combined history, thoughtful design, and modern amenities in one unforgettable setting.
