This chilly September wedding at the always gorgeous Samoset Resort celebrating Andrea and Mike was an unforgettable weekend filled with so much celebration. These two were meant for each other and seeing them surrounded by so much love was so inspiring!
Where It All Began
Andrea and Mike met in college at Bentley, but weren’t actually close till after college. After they reconnected in 2015 through a mutual friend, they quickly fell in love and began planning their life together.
Mike proposed at sunset by the lake near their home, where they regularly took walks. This time, Mike’s brother hid in the bushes to get photos of the moment!
Happily Ever After
Together, they wanted to treat their guests to a full wedding weekend to celebrate with all their loved ones. Their weekend started with an intimate church ceremony the day before the official wedding festivities began. They held a rehearsal dinner and welcome party as guests arrived through the evening. Love was certainly in the air and excitement for the happy couple was palpable!

Samoset Resort
Andrea and Mike were so excited to embrace the coastal beauty of Maine at their stunning wedding venue, Samoset Resort. Not only are the Samoset Resort views unforgettable, but it is located on a golf course, which they both love. They arrived a few days early and enjoyed rounds of golf with friends and family before officially kicking off the weekend!
On their wedding day, Andrea and Mike opted to get ready in separate rooms before seeing each other. Mike even snuck in a round of golf! The moments with their loved ones before the big day were filled with smiles, laughs, and happy tears.

Ceremony Reveal
Andrea and Mike both looked forward to a ceremony reveal on the wedding day, but they also wanted to enjoy their cocktail hour with guests. So, we planned their schedule to allow for each of them to take photos separately with their wedding party and immediate fmailies before the ceremony. This allowed them time to take portraits together after the ceremony and then still make it to the last half of their cocktail hour. I love being able to help my couples craft the day they’ve always dreamt of having. As a Coastal Maine wedding photographer with years of experience, I always recommend a timeline similar to this if you want don’t want to do a first look. Taking separate wedding party photos and separate family portraits before the ceremony means fewer to take after the ceremony and allows you to stay relaxed and present all day long.

Sweet Fun
Their wedding at Samoset Resort was beyond beautiful. They brought in local donuts (my favorite!!) from Ruckus Donuts for dessert, along with other sweet treats for a yummy dessert bar. Guests had the best time and the dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT LONG – including both of them getting hoisted into the air by guests toward the end of the evening.

Being a part of this beautiful wedding weekend in Maine was such an honor. I’m overjoyed for these two and just know they have a lifetime of happiness ahead of them! Cheers to the happy couple (and their sweet dog Maple!).
