I’m so looking forward to sharing this Wequassett Resort Cape Cod Wedding with you. There was something so special and magical about this day!
Bride and Groom’s Story:
Let’s rewind from this Wequassett Resort wedding a few years! Tim and Mary met in 2016 when Mary moved to San Francisco, where Tim lived. They instantly clicked and went on a date! Then, four months later…they went on a second date! They liked each other a lot but Mary was traveling during that time so they kept up with texts and phone calls. I think it’s really special when you connect with someone and stay in touch even when you’re miles away. By their third date, they knew this was something real and they were inseparable.
In 2019 they moved to the East Coast together. When they were wedding planning they told me they really wanted something close to the water, so Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod was perfect.
We did their engagement session in the Catskills in the Fall before their wedding, with their sweet dog Sage. I knew from the first time shooting with them that their wedding was going to be wonderful.
Getting Ready at Wequassett Resort
It was the most beautiful wedding. It was a bright Fall day and the lighting was amazing, but it was COLD. These two were troopers and it was worth it. You could tell they were just so happy to be getting married! They got ready with their close friends & family. I loved the hue of blue they chose for details throughout the day, and Mary’s pearl-accented shoes were amazing too!
Tim & Mary did a first look before the ceremony too, which was so emotional and sweet. That’s almost always one of my favorite parts of any wedding day. Plus it’s a great time to get couple’s portraits before the celebrations start!
Fall Cape Cod Ceremony
Everything about their wedding was personal and thoughtful. The bridesmaids wore velvet dresses, which photographed SO well. They were different hues of blue, which was the perfect compliment for Fall and looked great against the backdrop of Wequassett Resort. The Officiant was a dear fried of Tim & Mary and so special to have someone who knew them so well marry them.
They also wrote their own vows that they each repeated to the other. You could tell their relationship is full of mutual respect and love, and they demonstrated the partnership they have in one another through their vows.
Cape Cod Wedding Reception
Their reception was just as beautiful as the ceremony. From the bookcase of florals for a seating chart to the ornate table settings – it was so thoughtful! I loved their three-tier cake with fresh flowers too.
You could also see how much they love each other when Tim surprised Mary with custom Mr. & Mrs. light signs on the dance floor! She was so excited and it was a fun backdrop to their first dance!
Mary & Tim danced the night away with their family and friends to a live band. it was quite the celebration and I was honored to document it! Thank you for choosing me to be your Cape Cod Wedding Photographer!!
