This beautiful Cape Cod Engagement session was so much fun to capture! We began about 90 minutes before sunset, which allowed us to catch the golden light and warm afternoon glow on the beach during their session. This time of the day means we get the amazing light in hues that grow richer in tone as the sun sets.
Andrea and Mike invited to a family home in Eastham on Cape Cod for their session. The views from the back porch and the cliffside stairs down to the private beach were a picture-perfect combo! We started their session up at the house, which gave us the absolute best views. Also, Andrea and Mike are so in love, it was so much fun to document! They are so sweet together and they snuggled up so naturally together.
After shooting on the porch, we made our way down the stairs that led us right onto the beach. We couldn’t of had asked for a better day for their Cape Cod engagement. The beach was spread out before us at low tide, which gave us so many options for exploring and creating memories together.
Their sweet golden retriever, Maple, joined us for the session. She enjoyed frolicking on the beach and posing with mom and dad. I was happy to recommend For the Love of Paws to Andrea & Mike for their session and wedding. They loved the idea and had FTLOP on site helping us get the best shots of Maple looking at the camera. I highly recommend them to any couple looking to include their dog in their engagement session and wedding!
Maple loved being on the beach for their engagement session, too!
I always encourage two outfits for a diversity of looks and images in your final gallery. You can check out another example of that here.
Andrea and Mike did a quick outfit change for the second half of their engagement shoot. Andrea changed into a simple white dress that was perfect for the beachy vibe. Mike dawned a bright sea blue shirt, which complemented so well with the hue’s of ocean.
At the end of their session, we popped some bubbly and toasted to their upcoming wedding!
