The Wychmere Boston Planners Dining Club hosted an intimate dinner on Cape Cod in June as the wedding season got into full swing. This event was all about celebrating wedding and event planners who do so much for the industry and their couples. The dining club was founded by Tammy Golson as a way to help planners network, connect, be inspired, get introduced to new vendor partners, and feel a bit pampered. These events inspire and replenish the planners who work so hard to create beautiful and seamless weddings and events for their clients all year long. This was the first time the event took place on Cape Cod, and it was a spectacular evening. I was honored to be a part of it!

A Focus on Sustainability: Thoughtful Design & Decor 

One of the standout elements of this evening was the intentional focus on sustainability woven throughout every part of the evening’s design. Arly of Honest Event Rentals curates stunning tabletop decor, much of which is handcrafted by artisans from around the world. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to align with the evening’s eco-friendly theme, showcasing how sustainability can meet elegance in the event world. 

Kayla from Buds brought a unique design to life, with fresh produce doing the heavy lifting in the design. Creative and non-traditional materials, like fruits and veggies, are trending in event design this year, due in large part to brilliant minds like that of David Stark, who are pushing the boundaries of event design. 

Cocktail Hour With A View

The evening began with a cocktail hour on the rooftop deck with stunning views of the Cape Cod coastline. Planners sipped on signature cocktails while enjoying passed appetizers and taking in the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. It was the perfect start to the event as the planners networked, connected with one another.

Elegant Dinner & Entertainment 

After the cocktail hour, guests moved downstairs for a three-course dinner. Speechless Music provided the ambiance for the evening as guests took in the tablescape designs and continued to enjoy each other’s company. Each planner left the evening with a monogrammed Turkish towel–a thoughtful nod to the pampering and sustainability the event was designed to offer. 

The Wychmere Boston Planners Dining Club event on Cape Cod was a beautiful celebration of the planners who give so much to their clients and the industry. From sustainable decor to thoughtful details, it was a night filled with inspiration, connection, and a reminder that even those who create magic for others deserve a little magic themselves.
