Grace and Greyson’s Watch Hill engagement session was a perfect reflection of their love for the New England coast. Greyson spent his childhood summers at his family’s beach house in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, while Grace spent hers in Kennebunkport, Maine with her family. They were married in Kennebunkport the month after the engagement session, so incorporating Greyson’s favorite summer spot for the engagement photos was a perfect way to tie in both meaningful locales.

A Formal Start 

The session started with a more formal look. Grace looked stunning in a navy dress, and Greyson wore a pale blue button down to match. Their outfits were the perfect look for the gorgeous backyard. The large hydrangeas were a perfect New England coastal element to include in their session. After the beautiful flowers, it was time to head to the ivy-covered sandy path to the beach as we made our way to the water. 

Down to the Beach 

As we moved to the beach, a hazy fog rolled in. It added to the romance of the evening and made for great photos. Grace and Greyson walked along the beach and played in the waves. This session included a few drone shots of their stroll along the water. These add such a unique perspective to a session, especially along the beach. 

A Casual Change 

After capturing their more formal looks, Grace and Greyson changed into more casual outfits. Grace chose a navy sweater and white pants, while Greyson chose a pale blue short-sleeved button up and some khaki pants. We loved the soft, warm light on the back steps of the backyard and relaxed there for a bit before heading back to the beach. Before wrapping up, we included the lighthouse in a few photos as well. 

Grace and Greyson’s Watch Hill engagement session was a perfect blend of elegance, romance, and meaningful memories. The coastal setting, soft evening light, and their undeniable chemistry made this session one to remember.
