On a crisp fall day I headed out to Lenox, MA to capture gorgeous wedding inspiration at The Mount, the beautiful estate where author Edith Wharton used to live. I love Edith Wharton’s books and she was a pretty awesome too, so being on her estate was really fun. Add to that the fact that it’s set out in western MA, nestled in the Berkshires, and that the grounds and home are meticulously curated and maintained, and it made for a perfect day!

The wedding inspiration for the day emphasized tones of pale peach, blush, and soft greens, complemented with with pops of mustard that spoke to the fall season and tied in the rich fall colors in the leaves around the property. Texture also played a big role in the day with a floral lace overlay for the table, textured cloth napkins, and subtle layers of berries among the tabletop florals and flatware.

The bride’s dress was stunning with a full lace skirt with slit on one side and a beaded top. Her dress moved and flowed beautifully and emphasized her natural grace. The groom wore a mustard color suit – a bold fun choice for a fall wedding!

The invitation suite also embraced the soft palette and pops of mustard with a velvet ribbon, watercolor motif, and vellum wrapper for the main invitation. Even the cake was full of soft fall colors, lots of texture, and flowers. Every detail tied together beautifully!
