Kayla and Jasper’s Boston engagement session took place in two locations: Beacon Hill and the Public Garden. They wanted the option to have their first portion be more relaxed and casual. When they mentioned that they lived in the iconic Beacon Hill neighborhood, we knew we had to start there!
First Stop: Beacon Hill
Starting their engagement session in Beacon Hill also allowed us to include their sweet, adorable dog named Sadie. We walked around the neighborhood and took advantage of all the picturesque nooks and crannies. As a Boston Wedding Photographer, my goal is to capture your unique story, so I always suggest choosing an engagement session location that is meaningful to you as a couple. That’s exactly what Kayla and Jasper did!
Also, being in familiar surroundings helped their pup, Sadie, feel much more comfortable during Kayla and Jasper’s Beacon Hill engagement shoot.
Public Garden Engagement
After we explored their neighborhood, they decided to switch it up! We went over to the Boston Public Garden with a more elevated look for the second portion of their engagement photos. Kayla wore a beautiful white dress that popped perfectly against all the greenery blossoming throughout Boston.
The Lead Up To Their Engagement
One thing I love about being a photographer is hearing your stories. And for Kayla and Jasper, it was no exception.
They actually first met in Miami. Jasper was living there at the time, and Kayla took a trip with a mutual friend to Florida, where they were introduced. The two hit it off immediately and did a year of long-distance dating before Kayla moved to Miami to join Jasper.
Calling Boston Home After Public Garden Engagement
They eventually moved to Boston for work, which is when we got the chance to connect. When Jasper proposed, they reached out and immediately dove into planning their engagement session and wedding in their new hometown. We focused on making their engagement effortless, fun, and candid and I love the result!
