Because of Covid-19, M & B pivoted their wedding plans from a San Francisco soireé to instead hosting a Cape Cod backyard wedding at their home. They brought a Great Gatsby art-deco theme to life and managed to integrate it seamlessly with the Cape Cod setting. Stunning florals were center stage for their design, along with the glamour of chandeliers strung between the trees and hung from a clear topped tent. And they walked the line of formal elegance and laid-back fun with lawn games alongside a catered dishes and a craft cocktail truck!
They were extra thoughtful when it came to ensuring that guests were comfortable and safe. Precautions that turned into an incredible guest experience included an array of composed plates served throughout the entire event from catering staff behind plexi glass, to creating three separate open air spaces with the help of a neighbor, for guests to relax and stay socially distant, to providing masks for every guest, and serving individually wrapped desserts.
They also made sure the wedding was personal, having a friend marry them and bringing in bagpipers as a nod to their Irish heritage. It was a beautifully sunny day with a stunning sunset over the water. I hope you’re inspired by their chic Cape Cod backyard wedding!
