I am so excited to share romantic snippets from Michele & Jacob’s spring wedding at Wequassett! The gorgeous gardens, stunning waterfront views, and classic Cape Cod architecture created the perfect setting for these two soulmates. And the heavy rain only added to the romance! Read on to see exactly how special their day was.

Wequassett Resort is a beautiful venue sitting in the heart of Cape Cod. Additionally, Cape Cod has sentimental value in Michele’s life. She grew up going to the beach on Cape Cod with her family over the summers. The couple chose Wequassett to honor those memories and make their day even more meaningful.

Michele and Jacob’s love story

There is something so special about best friends turning into lovers. Jacob and Michele each moved to Atlanta in 2017 to pursue their MBAs at Emory, where they met. They quickly became close friends and then started dating in April 2018. And they’ve been inseparable ever since!

Their spring wedding at Wequassett felt like a dream. They opted for a micro wedding, meaning they only invited their immediate families. In fact, only ten people attended, including themselves! And having such a small group made the whole day even more intimate.

Getting ready for a spring wedding at Wequassett Resort

Michele got ready with her mom and sister. She looked stunning for her Cape Cod wedding. She made a statement in a gorgeous ivory gown covered in lace paired with a cathedral-length veil. The rain was pouring down, but they were calm and happy and so excited for Michele to see Jacob. And Jacob looked quite dashing in his navy blue suit!

Rainy Romantic First Look Portraits

Michele and Jacob were giddy with excitement to see each other. They did a private first look and vow exchange. And let me assure you, the moment was so magical! They gave each other the biggest hug, and their eyes shone with love and they couldn’t stop smiling as they saw each other for the first time. They also wrote their vows in the cutest matching vow books! The moment was filled with so many heartfelt emotions, which set the tone for the whole wedding.

They embraced the rain and we went on a bit of a rainy day adventure for their portraits. We took out our umbrellas and went to the dock to create some of my favorite portraits from the day. It was truly a highlight of the day and the rain leant the photos a really romantic vibe!

An Intimate Spring Wedding at Wequassett Resort

The rain forced the ceremony inside, but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Michele’s dad officiated, and Jacob’s mom led them in the traditional Jewish glass-breaking. I’m sure they’ll cherish this beautiful memory forever.

The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour, cake-cutting, and first dance in Wequassett’s private dining room. Afterward, dinner was served. Since Michele and Jacob are foodies themselves, they planned the meal carefully and were thrilled about the mini lobster rolls, fresh seafood, and the multi-course dinner they had planned for the occasion. From the décor to the calligraphy Michele did herself on the escort and menu cards- everything radiated thoughtfulness and love. The big day came to an end with everyone laughing and enjoying each other’s company (and a great meal!).
